Stephen M. Capogna
Stephen Capogna (he/him): I was born in 1978 and grew up in Chelmsford, Massachusetts. After receiving my B.F.A. in painting from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst in 2001, I was eager to put my skills to the test in the real world. In September of 2002, I took the leap and started my own interior/exterior residential and commercial painting business. I had always liked the idea of working for myself and had the ability to start my own business, so it seemed like the perfect fit.
Prior to starting my own business, I had worked for another high-end painter in the Boston area for a brief period of time. However, one of the things that always bothered me about working on a large crew was the inconsistency that often arose when different painters worked on the same project. The lack of communication, know-how, and understanding of painting materials was incredibly frustrating.
As a result, I made it my mission to provide my clients with a straightforward approach to painting, a deep understanding of painting materials, and a commitment to providing a quality, consistent paint job. Having a background in fine arts has given me a unique perspective on color choices and the natural ability to apply paint in a consistent and precise manner.
In addition to running my own business, I am also represented by Ugallery, an online art gallery that represents different artists from around the world. Through this platform, I am able to share my love of painting with a wider audience and showcase my work alongside other talented artists.
